We are looking for an Electrically bias Rolling Stock Technician on a Contract basis in Glasgow for a leading Rolling Stock manufacturing company.
You will carry out maintenance and warranty work on state of the art trains, the role is based on shifts covering days & Nights on a 40 hour week
This role is an initial 6 month contract with possible extension and has an attractive rate (Ph) of £37.03 UMB or £27.56 PAYE (Inside IR35)
The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent with an electrical bias and must have great fault finding experience.
This will consist of such tasks as:
The role is open to all industry backgrounds such as Rolling Stock, Avionics , HM forces etc
Successful candidates will be required to pass a Medical D&A prior to commencing any work

Electrical Technician

The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent with an electrical bias and must have great fault finding experience.
This will consist of such tasks as:
- Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required
- Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces
- Answer technical questions from colleagues and handle practical questions asked by the Client
- Provide assistance and technical feedback to the RAMS / Performance Engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required
- Risk identification within own scope of works, assessment, provision of options to mitigate or resolve taking into account compliance with relevant legislation
- Review and summarise faults, failures and actions taken by depot production teams as required by the RAMS / performance Engineer
