The RailStaff Awards started in 2007 with an aim at recognising the great work that the people who work in the industry do. As publishers of RailStaff, we saw great achievements, courage and bravery from rail staff in every edition. Yet nobody was saying 'thanks' or 'well done'.
Since that simple idea, the RailStaff Awards has grown to 17 categories of rail staff; receiving over 1000 nominations; handing out over £100,000 in winners prizes; and of course our great annual party with over 700 people in attendance.
This year we will take you back to the Roaring Twenties in the US and the era of prohibition, speakeasies and gangsters. Based on the famous New York Prohibition '21 Club' partygoers will be celebrating in the 'Rail 17' Club. This year the RailStaff Awards has 17 categories and ‘Rail 17' Club is open to everyone on the railway. The club will be decked out with tiffany lamps and violin cases and of course bootleg liquor, and the night will be filled with amazing floorshows.
