Our client is working on a Crossrail contract in West London. They require an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team on site.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in producing monthly reconciliations of contract performance on contract by contract basis.
Oversee specific contracts in the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor as directed by the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Daily review and monitoring of all actual costs against costs recorded in COINS system for your particular contracts.
Attend monthly contract meetings for your specified contracts.
Assist in optimising contract turnover.
Verify contract costs for those specified.
Assist in resolving claims and disputes from both clients and sub-contractors.
Deputise for the Senior Quantity Surveyor as and when required.
Resolve financial differences with the Finance Department for your specified contracts.
Assist the Commercial Manager by preparing bespoke reports, charts, analyses, etc.
Alert Senior Management to any non-conformance or deficiency in quality, services, workmanship or materials.
Responsible for operating within the practice and procedures of the quality system.
Liaison and communication with staff and contractors plus all relevant external
contacts as required in order to discharge the duties and responsibilities of this JD/SRS.
The discharge of these safety critical duties and responsibilities within this JD/SRS and any other safety critical competencies are mandatory upon the post holder.
Attend weekly Review Meetings with Project Management staff to ascertain progress, rectify problems and variations and devise mitigation measures.
The client is offering a salary of circa £25,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, defined contribution pension scheme.
