We are currently looking for a highly experienced Principal Permanent Way Design engineer to work for a highly focused Rail construction company. You would be required to provide excellent and specialist design capability and knowledge to Track/Rail Projects.
As the Design manager you will be required to manage all the designs for the blockade works.
Your Role:
-You will be expected to provide key guidance and input on projects and tenders for design services
-Manage external design suppliers
-Manager the Permanent Way Renewal designs for Points and Crossings and Blockade works to programme and budget
-Manage interfaces between design (P & C, Power and Signalling Design)
You will provide technical knowledge of track engineering and integrate with colleagues and operate and deliver projects successfully on time and within budget. It will be the Senior Designers job to outline and conduct the detailed track engineering design input and calculations.
Requirements:
-HND in Civil Engineering
-Member of the Permanent Way Institution and ICE.
-Extensive experience in the use of software packages (Microstation, Bentley Rail Track Inrail and Terramodelling)
-A good amount of experience in Plain Line, Switch and Crossing and Hallade Design (Drainage formation)
-An understanding of Railway track systems.
