Our client, a well known contractor and Mining Company are seeking to employ a Geotechnical Manager to be based Overseas on their site in West Africa.
You will be reporting to the Site Manager, and will be responsible for the management of density logging and survey activities together with the introduction of client based business management procedures providing an exceptional career development opportunity for the successful candidate to learn all aspects of the operations.
You will be responsible for the management of down the hole surveying of exploration boreholes and of the density logging crews on grade control drilling for the design of the Mining operations. You will also be involved in the implementation and management of Business Management procedures for and reporting on the companies drilling activities.
To undertake this role it is essential that you will have considerable experience in either Mining, Engineering or Geotechnical and will be degree qualified or equivalent, or have commensurate experience in a similar role. You will be a team player, fully conversant with Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook and will have good reporting and management skills. It is also essential that you will have the aptitude to work in an overseas, remote location.
