Lead Project Manager
Our client is seeking a number of Lead Project Managers to plan and run extensive track renewals projects.
As a Lead Project Manager you will be responsible for satisfying customer requirements and to support business goals by developing, planning, managing and delivering complex/multiple projects safely, on time, profitably and to standard providing professional guidance/direction to Project Managers. Deputise for Senior Project Manager.
As the Lead Project Manager your duties and responsibilities will be as follows:-
Manage all stages of the renewals process working with the Senior Project Managers and Planning Manager in initial possession pre-planning stages
Plan and implement track renewals work and projects as required
Develop and manage production of detailed plans, prelim designs, finalise requirements and make necessary submissions
Schedule requirements/activities optimising resources & timescales; procure resources, submit documentation and obtain authorities
Produce work package plans and task briefing sheets, including risk assessments
Establish/reconcile final target costs, identify contract variations and deliver within budget
Confer with Project Teams to monitor/review plans as appropriate to enable right first time delivery
Maintain awareness of performance through project execution, reporting stages and provide on-call support to Project/Site Management
Accountable, through the Site Manager, for the planning, and conduct of all staff delivery teams on-site
Accountable through Site Manager(s) and technical staff for effective completion of reporting requirements to enable Track back and effective CRT Management
Monitor/review all appropriate project KPIs for self and PM’s identifying action required
Management of outstanding renewals works & assessment of engineering risk for self and PM’s
Accountable for snagging works, completion of final certification and documentation in accordance with Warranty standards for self and PM’s
Inform SPM of all critical issues; provide professional/technical inpu at all stages
Qualifications and Experience required:-
You should be educated to a minimum of HNC in civil engineering and hold a PTS and COSS
