Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Shift: 4 on 4 off days
Location: West London
Salary: £37,730 + Final Salary Contributory Pension Scheme + Free & Discounted Rail Travel

Our client are a leading train operator & are recruiting for an electrical biased Rolling Stock Technician to work on their permanent days shift at their West London depot.

Role Description
Successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking service examinations, fault finding, laptop diagnostics and repair tasks to a fleet of electrical multiple units.
You will be responsible for fault diagnostic, testing, maintenance and repair to a variety of systems to include but not limited to:-
- Air, fuel & oil systems,
- Electric traction systems,
- Bogies,
- Wheel Sets,
- Motors,
- Lighting,
- HVAC,
- Control Systems,
- Doors.

You will use laptops to diagnose faults on the systems on board the rolling stock to understand what actions need to be taken to carry out corrective maintenance.
The Planned Preventative Maintenance of the units will range from daily service checks to major exams, engine strip down and component renewal. You will also be involved in reactive maintenance as and when required.

Required Experience
Candidates wishing to apply for this role must have an electrical apprenticeship (NVQ or C&G) and a solid understanding and experience of mechanical engineering. Candidates will be ideally from a rail, but would consider candidates from a solid transferrable background, ie forces engineers, bus, on-track plant engineers, HEAVY manufacturing, aircraft and marine engineers
