Safety Engineers and Safety Consultants

£40,000 - £60,000 dependent upon level

Locations: Dorking, Burton-on-Trent, Bristol, Plymouth, Dorchester, Warrington, Glasgow

Our client is a world class systems and engineering technology consultancy that specialises in providing independent and expert advice to industries such as rail, aerospace, power, energy and defence sectors. They have a requirement for safety engineers with various levels of experience through to Senior Safety Consultants to join their dynamic Assurance Team. This is a great opportunity for you to utilise your technical skills to make a contribution to a wide range of safety projects.

You will have a proven track record in one or more of the following industries: Rail, Nuclear, Defence, Aeronautical, Oil and Gas or Energy. You will be required to provide project management and technical contribution to safety case development for major projects undertaken by their safety teams.

You will have a degree in a relevant discipline and a proven track record with detailed knowledge in a number of the following areas: Yellow book, ISO 26262, JSP 430, 454, 520, 375, 815, Defence Standard 00-56, MoD POSMS, IEC 61508, ARP 4761, MAA Regulatory Publications, EASA Certification Standards (CS 25-1309 in particular).

You will be conversant in the conduct of most of the following safety techniques: Safety Management System Development and Safety Management planning, Safety Case Development, Independent Safety Audit, Hazop/Swift, FTA and ETA, FMECA and Goal Structuring Notation (GSN). The more senior roles will also require experience of leading and directing safety consultancy projects and tenders.
