The Project
Nottingham Express Transit is extending the existing Nottingham Tram system with the construction of two new lines from the city centre terminus.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Construction Manager to work on a large-scale project in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have responsibility for all activities in the field of construction including the day to day planning, supervision, direction and monitoring of operations, ensuring that the project is delivered in a safe, timely, efficient and sustainable manner, whilst achieving project targets, meeting client expectations and enhancing the reputation of the business.
About the Role
Construction experience will include: Preparation of tender & pre-construction method statements, prime responsibility for the safety of all site operations, monitor health & safety documentation and complete safety inspections and monitor the progress of construction works and amend the methodology in light of unforeseen circumstances to ensure that overall completion dates are met.
You will be required to ensure; all supply chain contractors are coordinated and working to the construction programme and detail; monitor the progress of construction works and amend the methodology in light of unforeseen circumstances to ensure that overall completion dates are met; develop and implement a clear plan of action to achieve the above; constantly review the build quality achieved with the team ensuring that the client’s requirements in this regard are fully met.
About You
You will ideally have worked in a similar role on a rail construction project. You will be educated to at least HNC/HND level and will be able to show a demonstrable track record of experience on rail projects and the various sub systems within.
