RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs and review the design and installation of rail track.
Establishes P Way design concepts and elements of design criteria.
Review and evaluate consultancy Track and civil designs to ensure adequacy and completeness verifying that they meet the necessary fabrication, construction, operation, safety, maintenance and economic requirements.
Coordinates track design efforts with civil, systems and structural engineering.
Monitors assigned trackwork related construction activities and any other civil construction contracts assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline is essential
At least 5 years' experience in Rail Track Design or P Way Design Reviews.
Working knowledge of civil, track, railroad and transportation engineering principles.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working on Permanent Way projects.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
