We currently have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Site Manager within the Renewals team based at Tonbridge. This role will be responsible for contributing to plan development and taking direct control of all resources and systems during execution on-site; organising, co-ordinating and managing to deliver the plan safely, meeting customer requirements, on time, within cost and to standard.

The responsibilities of the Technical Officer role will include; Contribute to Plan development with the Project Manager, Organise, attend and chair meetings and briefs as appropriate, Organise suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve efficient integration into the Plan, Populate resource schedules in line with programme requirements, Plan day to day requirements of the Project to produce effective use of all resources to minimise snagging, Carry out team briefing/debriefing of plan and task requirements, ensuring lines of command are clear, Manage all staff, plant, equipment and material resources effectively and efficiently, Undertake site management roles in accordance with Company procedures.
You will also Assist Project Manager in timely completion of site works, Identify potential contract variations to Project Manager, Control and implement health, safety, quality and environmental requirements, Responsible for staff welfare on-site, Monitor and control worked and unworked hours, Produce reports and contribute to investigations as required.
The successful candidate will ideally have some, or all of the following skills and experience:
Understanding of NWR Standards and the Rule Book
In depth knowledge of track renewals process and systems
Understanding of rail plant and equipment, including engineering trains
Understanding of rostering process
Contract/sub contract requirements
Audit disciplines and routines
Knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental requirements
Understanding of business management systems
Understanding of the consequence and impact of decisions
It would be highly advantageous for you to have any of the following:
D32/D33 (A1/A2) Verifier
NVQ level 3 qualified
First Aider
Leading and managing engineering projects of varying size and complexity
