Bridgeway Consulting Ltd is to sponsor the Rail Safety Person of the Year

March 4th 2010

Top performing Bridgeway Consulting Ltd is to continue sponsoring the Rail Safety Person of the Year at the RailStaff Awards 2010.  The news comes at the start of a busy spring for Bridgeway Consulting, which recently won its Principal Contractor's license. Bridgeway is engaged in a wide variety of railway projects around the network and as far overseas as Europe and Uganda in Africa.

Pino DeRosa, Managing Director of Bridgeway, said, ‘We are delighted to be sponsoring the Rail Safety Person of the Year once again. The recent RSSB overview of safety performance for 2009 showed further improvements in safety on Britain's railways. That's good news and we want to draw attention to the people who make a leading contribution to railway safety. At Bridgeway we place great emphasis on safety and there should be no room for complacency. We concentrate on making safety a continuing priority for every single member of our teams, and were particularly proud last year to win his award.'

The Rail Safety Person of the Year award gives industry recognition to anyone who has made a significant contribution to enhancing the railway industry's safety culture and engendering safety principles among all personnel, what ever their role.

‘We plan a strong presence at the RailStaff Awards and look forward to meeting colleagues, nominees and winners at the ICC in Birmingham in October,' says Pino. The RailStaff Awards, now in its fourth year, will be held on 23rd October 2010 at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham.

Bridgeway carries out a vast array of engineering roles, from multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, permanent way works and track & structure alignment surveys through to site and ground investigations diving & roped access structural inspections. Other services provided to clients include track access and possession management, training and assessments and IT management.
