FM Rail has appointed Andy Cox Freight Development Manager. Mr Cox joins the company from the Freightliner Group where he was Business Development Executive for both the Heavy Haul and Intermodal businesses.
Andy is charged with building up the non-passenger side of the business. The company has a non-passenger Access Agreement with Network Rail and a Train Operators Licence from the Office of Rail Regulation allowing it to bid for freight and infrastructure contracts on the National Rail network.
Martin Sargent, Chairman of FM Rail said, “We are delighted that Andy has decided to join us. His unrivalled knowledge of the industry, and in particular the railfreight sector, makes him well suited to delivering FM Rail’s ambitious plans for expansion into the UK railfreight and infrastructure market.”
Andy Cox began his railway career in 1991 when he was amongst one of the last intakes into British Rail’s highly regarded Graduate Trainee Scheme.
